Current Events

On Sunday, March 7, in addition to another successful work day, Amy Parke presented a class at the Gardens on starting seeds indoors to transplant outdoors. Participants learned about seeds, selection, reading seed packets, collecting seeds, planting, and transplanting.


On Sunday, March 14, the first plants went in. First United Methodist Church youths came to work with us. 


Other News:

The Board members and community volunteers met at the courthouse annex on Fridays, March 5 and 12.

We were awarded the MOJC Grant in the amount of $2,000.00.

Classes

The 5th and final class in Growing & Nourishing Healthy Families will be held on March 18 (at the gardens-weather permitting). Some of the attendees joined us on Sunday afternoon to work in the gardens.

Tuesday, March 23 Ribbon Cutting with the Lampasas County Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center held at the Gardens from 4 - 7 p.m. Refreshments and more!
